Weekly Decluttering Ideas: March 1
Welcome back to another set of 5 things to declutter this week! Today, I’m sharing another list of five overlooked items you might have in your home that could be decluttered.
Before we get into the list, if you are new to decluttering, you might benefit from my 10-Step Plan to Start Your Decluttering Journey. This is a free guide that helps you start decluttering the right way, and you get your copy by clicking here.
Outdated Manuals/Maps: Now that we have technology and apps like Google Maps that constantly update and can find most appliance or electronic manuals online, there’s not much reason to keep the physical version. Clear these out and recycle them!
Old Pet Gear: It could be collars and harnesses they grew out of, beds they don’t use, toys they don’t play with, or clothing they don’t wear. Whatever the case, if neither of you are benefitting from them anymore, see if they can be donated to shelters or rescues that could use them.
Extra Coupons: Saving money is always helpful, but we’re not always able to use all the coupons we have. If you have extras you can’t use up or are expired, recycle them or delete them from your inbox. It’s also helpful to reflect about whether you need the item in the first place, or if you are tempted to buy something just because of the deal.
Earrings Without a Pair: It’s definitely possible to make a new pair of earrings with mismatched studs, but will you? If you have earrings without a pair and won’t wear them, you have nothing to lose with decluttering them.
Unnecessary Bedroom Technology: I am a big fan of using an actual alarm clock rather than my phone, but if you do prefer the phone, do you have an alarm clock you could let go of? Likewise, if there’s any tech in your bedroom that’s disrupting your sleep, keeping it out of your bedroom could be helpful.
