This Month's Decluttering Ideas: January 11
Single-use paper products: While using single-use products can be convenient, it’s always more sustainable and cost-effective to use reusable products. You could consider using up what you have, saving the extras for gatherings of people, or donating the excess to places that could benefit.
Any piles of paper: Do you have a pile of mail or paperwork that needs to be dealt with and put away? Keep what you need to and recycle or shred the rest to clear the space.
Floor clutter that doesn’t need to be there: It's normal to leave things on the floor from time to time, but if there are items left there constantly that shouldn’t be, consider whether or not it actually has a place in your space. If it can’t be put away or doesn't have a home, it may not be worth keeping.
Travel-sized toiletries: Hotels usually provide those small bottles of shampoo and soap. Unless you’re going to reuse the containers for your own products or plan on bringing them with you on your next trip, why let them take up space in your bathroom? Use them up and discard!
Outdated/incomplete board games: If you have games that are irrelevant today or you can’t play because they are missing important pieces, it’s probably time to declutter them from your shelves.
